KUNGABE yini le ehlanganisa uZulu nenkolo yakwaShembe? Yini uShembe abemningi esizweni samaZulu kodwa abe yingcosana kumbe angabikhona kwezinye izizwe ezimnyama zaseNingizimu ne-Afrika. Nxa ngenza nje isibonelo: Esizweni sabeSotho, samaVenda, sabeTswana, samaNdebele, samaXhosa, njalo njalo, uma ekhona, uyingcosana kakhulu uShembe. Ngaphandle kwamaSwati lapho ebonakala kancane. Kodwa kumaZulu yilapho uShembe ezinze khona futhi yilapho emkhulu khona.

INkosi u-Izaya Shembe, umqambi wendlela, kwafi ka isithunywa kuye, njengomphrofethi, sathi akeze lapha kumaZulu azoshumayela futhi aqhubezele phambili isintu nosikompilo lukaMvelinqangi, ngoba amaZulu, selokhu kwathi nhlo, yisona sizwe esifumbethe isikompilo lesintu. Ithini imvelaphi yamaZulu nosikompilo lwawo?

Imibhalo eminingi njengethi, ‘AmaZulu: Ancient Egyptian Origin’; ‘UMnguni – Our Primevial Father’; ‘From Heru to King Shaka’, neminye imibhalo engingeke ngayibala lapha ikhomba ukuthi abeNguni baluthola lolu sikompilo nesintu sabantu abamnyama, emfundisweni yaseKhemethi eyayifundiswa iNkosi enkulu uHermes, iNkosi enkulu uHeru, iNkosi enkulu u-Osiris, iNdlovukazi u-Isis, iNkosi enkulu uKush, namanye aMakhosi amaningi.

AbeNguni abaqanjwa ngegama lomholi wabo uMnguni. Babezinze eNubia, endaweni ebizwa ngokuthi kuseJuba. Ngalezi zikhathi zasemandulo iNubia, namhlanje ebizwa ngeSudan, yayingaphansi kweKhemethi, ngenkathi kubusa iNgonyama yaseKhemethi uKhufu. Imbongi yeNkosi uSenzangakhona, ezibongweni zayo iyakusho lokhu engikushoyo. Kwaba njengomthandazo weNkosi uMalandela, indodana iNkosi uZulu yazalwa, yaqanjwa kanjalo, ekugcineni kwaphuma isizwe esinaso namhlanje.

Inkolo yamaZulu yencike kakhulu kusikompilo loBuntu, ethi yonke into yakhiwa nguMvelinqangi; yokuthi uMvelinqangi yilona dlozi elikhulu kunawo wonke amanye amadlozi. Le nkolelo iqhamuka ngqo eKhemethi lapho amaKhemethi, ngokolimi lawo, babembiza ngoRa. Isizwe sama-Akan simbiza ngoNyame; isizwe samaYoruba simbiza ngo Olorun, njalo njalo. Le nkolo yabeNguni, njengoba kwakwenza amaKhemethi, ikholelwa kakhulu emadlozini, njengoba namaZulu enza njalo, kuze kube yinamhlanje.

Nxa izwi, elalivela kuMvelinqangi, lithuma iNkosi u-Izaya Shembe, umqambi wendlela, ukuyoshumayela izwi laMvelinqangi phakathi kwamaZulu, singqagula ukuthi uShembe, njengeSonto, lathunywa ukuba lizoqinisa futhi lithuthukise ubunjalo bamaZulu, njengabantu abakhonjwa uMvelinqangi ukuthi yibo abayophatha ukhiye wokungena eZulwini.

Umbhali u-Asar Imhotep embhalweni wakhe othi: AmaZulu kwakungabantu abaxhumene kakhulu nemimoya yaseZulwini, okungangoba, emandulo, babekwazi ukundiza baye emkhathini kumbe esibhakabhakeni, babuye babuye beze emhlabeni. Lokhu kugcwaliswa izibongo zeNkosi uSenzangakhona, nxa imbongi ithi: ‘Masiphothe intambo ende Zulu, Senyuke siye eZulwini; lapho kungeke kufi nyelele nazithutha, Ngiyobuye nencombo, sigaye sidle’. Imbongi lapha ikhuluma nge’ncombo’ esingahumusha ngokuthi yayisho ubuhlakani bokuphatha izwe. Iphinde ithi iyobuya nayo incombo ‘iphekwe kudliwe’, esingahumusha ngokuthi nxa sekutholakale lobo buhlakani buyosetshenziswa ekubuseni nasekuphatheni izwe laKwaZulu.

Manje ukuze lobu buhlakani kungonakali, kwakudingeka kube khona inkolo eyayizoba yisisekelo salobu buhlakani obabuvela eZulwini. Leyo nkolo yalethwa uShembe, naye ethunyiwe. Lokhu kuthunywa kukaShembe kwakusho ukuxhumana okukhulu phakathi kwamaZulu noMvelinqangi. Kodwa ukuze lokhu kuxhumana buhlale buqinile kwakudingeka amaZulu ahlale njalo efumbethe ukhiye wokungena eZulwini. Lowo khiye yinkolo yesintu boHlanga babeNguni, njengoba siyibona eSontweni lakwaShembe. Yingakho ungeke umthole uShembe kubeLungu nasemaNdiyeni, kodwa uyomthola kubantu baseZulwini – amaZulu.
